MiniShip
PLEASE NOTE: The MINISHIP game runs on the browser automatically, NOT the 2dshooter tutorial project.
Description
MiniShip is a quick, relatively easy 2D space shooter made for a school assignment. Blast enemies, avoid their projectiles, and kill the final boss!
While I was working on the 2D shooter project, I accidentally made significant changes to the game, not realizing that I was supposed to do that after completing the project. As a result, the tutorial versions (2dshooter) have a few of the final features added to them. The final versions (MiniShip) has ALL of the modifications, more than the tutorial versions. I'll read the instructions a little closer next time!
Modifications
2dshooter:
-changed the ui layout in game.
-changed the menu layout & look.
-changed the text to include light shadows.
-added level 3 to the game.
-rearranged enemy positions for level 2 and 3.
MiniShip:
-all 2dshooter modifications.
-added a 4th final boss level, and a big final boss enemy. It is very fast, aggressive, and huge!
-replaced the in game music with music from a previous project I made.
-rearranged the enemies in level 2 and 3. Level 2 is a lot of enemies, and in level 3 the player is surrounded.
-changed the UI to say what level the player is on.
-modified the "you win" screen on the final level to say "congratulations".
-added text to the instructions page.
Credits
Jackson Cartwright - assembly of the game and modification of a few assets
Logan Kinoshita - music that was used in a project him and I made, of which I reused and added into this specific game (with consent).
Brian Winn and others - almost all of the game assets and code.
